    So noisy!!

Today we looked after the GC at their house, I thought we were bringing them back to us after school but SIL thought he was coming home to them there, so there we stayed. (DD is away with work)
I went to school for GD while OH stayed with baby GS who was still asleep in his cot.
Once home she did various things, then asked if she could have her Kindle Fire, to which I said yes. She watched a couple of How To Draw videos then decided to put the radio on for us. Now I have no idea how this is done from a device like this, but she managed to get music to play from speakers in the house. Unfortunately it was coming out of the kitchen speaker, not the living room where we were. The kitchen is closer to the bedrooms. The music was extremely loud, really booming out, and travelling down the corridor to where the baby slept.
I shut the kitchen door and the door which separates the corridor from the entrance hall, but still it was loud.
Thank goodness, somehow the baby slept on.
GD couldn't turn the music down, or off. She attempted to switch it to the living room speakers, but couldn't manage that either. She is only 7, so her knowledge is obviously limited! Neither of us could do it.

We were glad the house is detached or any neighbours would have been very shocked and annoyed by so much noise.
The speaker is high up so cant be reached. Eventually OH found the plug for the speaker and switched it off. Phew!! The baby slept on obliviously for another hour after all that noise. Fortunately his room is the 3rd room along the corridor, but nevertheless the noise still reached it.

We won't be letting her do that again if her parents are not around!!

Gem - it's amazing how confident our grandchildren are with anything tecchie. I can picture the three of you frantically trying to stop the noise.

It's incredible what noise little ones will sleep through - OH arrived home from shopping on Tuesday while GD2 was having her nap. He came in very quietly but Eva marked the occasion with an exuberant fanfare of barking! GD2 slept on, and on ...

I think it is sudden noises that wake them.

It's surprising how much noise babies can sleep through.
