Just had the following conversation on snapchat with 13 year old grandaughter

Rosie, Hello Nannan, have you remembered I'm going to Liverpool on Saturday
    Me, Yes I've remembered
Rosie, I was wondering if I had some pocket money still at your house
Me, No you took it all last week to buy something
    Rosie, Oh yea I did
    Me, mmmm
Rosie, Do you think I could have a few weeks pocket money early
Me, We will see what we can do.
    Rosie, Thank you

5 minutes later she had more or less the same conversation with Grandad.
We give her pocket every week, but it burns a hole in her pocket. We had already decided to give her some money to go with.
I bet she has had a similar conversation with her Dad.

LOL Nan2, they are so transparent aren't they? ' I was wondering if I had some pocket money still at your house?'

LOL, Nanto. I'm sure she had a great day!

Yesterday I gave GS2 some sponsorship money I owed him for a 10k walk. He looked at it a bit doubtfully as his Dad reminded him it wasn't 'his', and then handed it over to his Dad for safe-keeping. He obviously didn't trust himself with it.
