    First school visit

Our 'baby' went to school today!!

Little E will start school in September . He went last week with his parents for an initial visit and met his teacher and head. Then the teacher came to nursery, and today the new starters went in for a couple of hours. They go for half a day and lunch tomorrow.
Little E enjoyed it today and all went well. There are three others from his nursery starting with him, which is nice

He's not even 4 yet, I can't bear the thought of him going to schooll!!

They had considered holding him back until next September, but in the end decided against it.
With his mummy in a good health phase atm in a way this is a good time to get him settled, with no other disruptions. The head knows the situation and has said they can take little E out for family trips etc whenever they like, which is nice.

Gem, I agree, it's far too early to start school. My GD1 was 4 less than a week before term started. She'd still been having an afternoon nap up till then. It's hard for children with summer birthdays.

Still, Little E sounds a confident little boy and has enjoyed his first taste of 'big' school. Is it close to home?

Daisy , your little GD was even younger bless her.

It is in the same village as the nursery he goes too. Maybe 15 minutes drive from their home, and similar for me.
