    Year 5 trip to London

Yesterday my GS2 had a lovely class trip.

They travelled by train to London, did various things including Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, lunch at Pizza Express and Paddington the Musical!
A long day with an early start and arriving back to the station after 9 pm.
What a lovely thing to do though. I was very impressed when I saw the itinerary.
All went well, a very successful day

They were allowed to come to school at 10am today, which must have added to the excitement!

    What a lovely trip Gem,
I bet Pizza express and Paddington was the highlight of the day,
Was he tired when he came home from school today?

Gem, what a wonderful day out. All credit to the teachers for organising this. It involves a lot of work, and it's a big day out from here on the south coast, but so much further for your GS. I bet the children were super excited, and I bet there were a few sleepy heads in class today even with the late start.

My GD1's primary school usually had a week's residential in Year 6, but last year the costs were extortionate and the head decided they would have a week of a different trip every day - one of which was London. It was a huge success! I think the children get so much out of these trips.

Gem, that sounds amazing for a school trip, we went to York!!!!!!

GD1 is going to Malta with her school and GD2 to Paris and Euro Disney, I do know she will enjoy that!

Lizzie, your GDs will thoroughly ejoy their trips, I'm sure, even though I think they are already well-travelled young ladies.

Our school trips were to places like New Brighton (across the Mersey from Liverpool). Times have changed.
