Wee Granny, well done to your grandson, I presume it is at the Leisure centre. My GD goes there with H.

Our GD1 who is in Year 10, has to do work experience this summer. Her main interest is textiles and design, and she's landed a week in a lovely little wool shop where she buys most of her supplies. She's over the moon about it. Then she found out they don't open until 10 am, so she gets a massive lie in as well!

The ladies who own the shop are lovely and GD is so excited.
GD1 has just completed her week's work experience in the wool/craft shop. She has loved every minute and the owners posted on their FB group how much they've loved her being there. In addition to helping in the shop, she has taught both owners to crochet, and worked with a couple of knitting groups helping those who were beginner crocheters (is that a word?) One lady, who is also a customer at GD's parents' shop, also posted how lovely GD was, and so patient and helpful. It's been great experience for her, including walking there and back, making her own packed lunch each day, and dealing with customers. It's no use - I can't help being a very proud granny!

Daisy. you have the right to be a "very proud granny", well done to your GD. The customers would be so pleased with her help, also that she does sound to be polite, as we say here "an added point"!

Clover, she has said she'll teach me, but I think she knows it will be a long, slow process!
