Grandsons and the snow

This morning DD1 reported that GS1, aged 12 was so excited by the snow he put his clothes on over his PJs and went for a walk at 6.15 am!

GS3, meanwhile, is refusing to get dressed and go out into the snow! He is not quite 2 and half and finds it confusing I think

I haven't heard about the other 2 GC, their family are later risers, but I'm sure they will be out in it at some point.

Gem, interesting and very different reactions to the snow. I hope GS3 gives it a go later.

I remember my GD1 seeing snow for the first time. We get very little here on the south coast and she was about 3 or 4. She ran out into the garden, her little face lighting up with excitement, and looked up into the sky trying to catch individual flakes. Sadly by the time her mum and dad got home it had all melted again.

Storm is loving it , DD text to say he has been lying in it since 6 this morning and won't come in.
DD just come back from a snowy holiday yesterday so they well equipped for it again😀

I can't remember how my own children reacted to snow the first time but I remember GS1 being so excited then when we had snow when GS2 was about 18 months old GS1 was about 5 and he wanted to be the first to take him out in the garden , they were all wrapped up and GS1 was holding his hand so tight telling him all about snow and to be careful not to fall. Of course GS2 promptly fell over in it 😄
I can still see it in my minds eye now , we all were laughing 😂😂

Oma, I can just picture Storm loving the snow. It must be bliss for him, being a Husky. Get your sledge out!!

I can remember our boys playing out in the snow when they were very tiny, and loving it until they got cold and realised snow melts into cold wetness. But they'd always make snowmen and have snowball fights. I always made them hot cocoa when they came back in.

We have snow, started falling about 7pm last evening. Our village is high up and if it is around we usually get it. It isn’t freezing so unless we have more it will not last. DD has lit a fire, goodness knows what H thinks of it all.

GS3 did go out eventually and did enjoy it

A good snowman Gem, not enough snow for that here, plus the fact it had gone by 9am

No snow here, just cold rain. I do like to see snow though before it gets all slushy and dirty but not if anyone in the family has to travel in it.We hardly ever see it though as I think we’re too near the coast.
Gem that snowman should last a good while, it’s so big!

Clover when out driving today I passed 4 very big snowman outside peoples houses

Gem, in a way it's a shame the snowmen don't last a bit longer. They make people smile.
