    Pocket money reminder

Watching Nickelodeon TV with GS2 earlier an advert for Go Henry came on. I pay GD and GS1's pocket money monthly that way.
Turning to me GS said 'Speaking of pocket money, you will need to give me mine either tonight or before I go home tomorrow' ( he doesn't have Go Henry yet, I give him his pocket money weekly in cash)
OH said ' Was that T I heard asking for his pocket money?' . I said it was and commented that neither his sister or older cousin had ever asked. ' I wasn't ASKING Grandma, just reminding you' he pointed out.

And I suppose he was right!

Some children just have the knack of finding a way round with words.

😁😁😁 well he wasn’t asking was he technically.
We put GS1s on his debit card
The other two we just save each week and when we eventually see them they get it then.

Now and then GS1 May phone and ask for his pocket money early if he has no petrol and no money.
like when he came back from holiday or when he’s at Uni and his allowance is running low.

DD can’t believe we are still giving him pocket money but we will do till he’s finished Uni.
She said Mam he will be married with children and you will still be giving him pocket money 😁

I will stop the pocket money when they reach 18. It's getting expensive now I have four! Although GD's will have stopped by the time GS3 is 7, the age I start it.

I know we will still be treating her beyond that, but no more Pocket Money

They are all different aren't they. I think GD would have to be homeless in the streets before she would ask me for anything, that's just her personality. She's my first GC and my only girl and she knows I would give her the world, but she would never ask!!

We have never given our grandchildren regular pocket money, but we do give them money in other ways. This was partly because our GSs have never lived near enough to see them every week, and partly because we like to give them big treats from time to time.
