    Baby Shower

We are holding a baby shower for DD3 next Saturday.

Most of her closest friends live away from here. London, Bath, Edinburgh, Manchester, not to mention the friends she met when living in Canada!
We are limited in numbers , but family and her closest friends are invited. I think there will be 15 or so in total. It will be so nice for her to see the friends she can't see every week.
We have booked a private room in a cafe, and are having an afternoon tea type buffet.

A nice idea suggested by one of her friends is we each bring a book as a present for the baby, one that we loved from our own childhood maybe, or means something to us. I chose Janet and Alan Ahlberg's Peepo, which I loved reading to DD when she was small.
The list of books people are bringing sounds lovely (we posted on the Whats App group , to avoid duplicates) How lovely to have such nice books to start baby's library. I know DD (and SIL) will love this idea

What a lovely idea about the books. I have never been to a Baby shower but it sounds a lot of fun.
I hope you all have a wonderful time.

Gem - that sounds like the best kind of baby shower, and what a wonderful idea to bring books for the baby.

Clover - I've never been to one either.
