    Proud Granny.

DD sent me a message she'd received from GS's school today. He's been invited to take part in a scheme for outstanding pupils to broaden their knowledge and skills and develop their confidence. They'll be working with a PhD tutor and the course includes a visit to a 'highly selective university' ( as long as there's a football team he'll be fine!

He's been chosen because he has consistently been applying himself to his lessons and using feedback to further his learning. You'd never believe it if you saw him doing his homework!!

I think it sounds like something Oma's GS1 went on if I remember correctly.

I haven't heard yet what he thinks about it!
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Wee Granny - many congratulations to your GS. He sounds like a very clever young man, especially if he doesn't seem to find homework difficult. I'm sure he'll find the different work interesting, as for the visit to the university that will be a good experience.

        When does the scheme start?

Well done to him WG, he sounds like just the right person to be offered this experience. Like Ona’s GS, it has to have a football team.

Daisy I didn't mean that he finds the homework easy....it's just that it's a battle to get him to do it!!

Oh, I see - but he probably doesn't have to spend a long time on it when he does get started. I had to smile at the comment about uni and a football team. My DS1's criteria when he was choosing a uni was that he'd go anywhere he could windsurf! But in a way it makes sense - they want to enjoy their time at uni.
