Two firsts, and third to come!

This morning GS1 and I went the cinema complex in the large new sports and community centre (where I went for my blood taking last week in the NHS section)
This was my first time at the cinema, which opened just before Covid. Luckily GS had been a couple of times and was able to point me up the escalator to pay and through to the screens! It was much much bigger than Vue, our other multi screen cinema. Lovely, clean, glossy and HUGE!
We were the only people in our screen. Maybe 10.20 is a little early for many families, but it fitted with our day.
    We both enjoyed Croods2

We then walked to Prezzo on the same complex for lunch (Lots of veggie options for GS) However a sign in the door told us it was closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. Staff isolating I'm guessing.
We then drove round to Pizza Hut, which was open.

'Just photograph that code on the table and put in your order that way' the waitress instructed having rushed though the list of unavailable items!
I told GS that lunch may be some time! He photographed the code and I managed to sort out the order! It actually went quite smoothly apart from the the delays putting in all the contact details and card.
    So, a first for me!

Later I will sit through my first mixed martial arts class, as I am taking GS.

Gem, that must be a huge complex. It is the same here with scanning of the menu's! When I took GD2 for a pizza last year by the time I had figured it out the waitress had been to take our order, I have got used to it now though. It is the same if you want to use the toilets in a petrol station along the motorways, I used to save 50 cent coins to pay, nowadays you must have to scan the code, what you do if you haven't a smart phone I do not know.

Gem - I think I'd feel exhausted by all those new experiences.

Lizzie - I feel quite strongly about the fact that people who can't afford, can't get to grips with or can't afford modern devices like smart phones are becoming more disadvantaged by the day. The world rushes headlong into 'improvements' but I'm sure each step leaves a few more people out in the cold.

            Daisy, I agree,
A nice young waitress passing our table asked if I was OK with booking online? I thanked her for asking and said I was certainly going to give it a go! She said to tell her if not. It was kind of her as the waitress who showed us to our table didn't offer any help.
