    The Tooth Fairy

GD2, who was 6 at Christmas, lost her second tooth at school on Friday. When I say lost - she swallowed it!

Poor girl was thrilled to have lost a top front tooth but distraught that she couldn't give it to the tooth fairy. Her main concern was that she wouldn't get 'paid' for it!

Her big sister, who knows the identity of their local tooth fairy, suggested she write a letter, explaining what happened and put that under her pillow instead! She then helped GD2 to compose the letter, stressing what a fine tooth it was and how well it had been cared for and how upset GD2 was that it had disappeared. And, of course, how she hoped the kind, generous tooth fairy would see her way to paying the going rate even though she wouldn't get the tooth!!

Needless to say, the tooth fairy wept reading such a heartfelt letter and promptly paid out a nice shiny £2.

Those fairies don’t miss a trick!
Full marks to big sister for saving the day. (She didn’t charge commission did she?)

Grauntie - she may well charge commission! I've a feeling the event isn't over yet! GD1 did very well to keep the magic of the Tooth Fairy idea going for GD2.

She will be very careful with the next gift for the Tooth Fairy though!
