    Overnight school trip

My 9 year old granddaughter is away tonight on her first overnight school trip
Year 4 and 5 are spending the night at The Deep, in Hull.
She had a few wobbles about it (mainly it seems about people being sick!) She was happy when left however.
I hope she has a lovely time and they get some sleep!
She will be home tomorrow morning.

Gem - I bet she comes home tired, but very excited. I think most children feel a bit apprehensive, but her friends will be feeling the same no doubt.

Its always scary first time both for child and parents isn't it .
GS2 is often away with scouts and beavers before that , he's a old hand at it now but I remember him saying he had a wobbly tummy first time he went away
GS1 has never been keen , of course he goes but he's glad to be home even now at almost 15 he does not stay out at friends much .

I bet when she comes home she will be full of it but as Daisy said probably tired
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Always a bit of apprehension for most for their first school overnight trip.

I hope she has an amazing time. A big step forward on the road to independence.
