    The Bucket of Happiness

As my 6 year old grandson and I walked along to his swimming class yesterday, he asked me if I knew we all had a bucket inside us? I was racking my brain to think which body part he could be referring to, when he continued.
This is our Happiness Bucket, he explained. When we do good and kind things for others, our bucket and theirs fill more. When we do a mean thing, both our bucket, and the person we are mean to lose happiness.
I was so impressed with this. I asked where he learned it and he said in assembly that day. It obviously went in.
    What a lovely message

That’s lovely Gem. Shows he was paying attention and taking it all in. I wonder who thought that one up, easy for children to imagine as long as they don’t think it’s a real bucket.

That certainly struck home Gemini, I wonder how many children saw the meaning behind this message?

That is a brilliant way to learn children kindness . Whoever thought that up is very clever .
It must have been told in such a way the children took notice . Well done E for listening xx

Assembly’s can give very positive messages if conducted well.

What a lovely way to explain how what we do and say affects other people. Well done young man for good listening and understanding.

That's one of the nice things about walking young children home from school - they chat about their day.

Doesn’t that sound a wonderful idea , so easy to understand how you feel when you do something kind as a child
