The Tooth Fairy came to Grandma's!

When we were having lunch yesterday my 6 year old grandson calmly announced his tooth had come out. It was his 4th in total, and his second that week. No blood no fuss
We put it aside to wrap up for him to take home later.
We promptly all forgot about it.

When we were in the car on the way to the quiz last night OH remembered! DD would have been halfway home then and they have no key to our house, and we were not home.
I texted DD to tell her the news. She said it was OK, GS had told her, and that they were arranging for the Tooth Fairy to drop by our house last night to collect it

I must remember to remove it from sight before he is next at our house!

Awww, that's lovely, and such a clever and considerate Tooth Fairy. I hope GS1 got a good price for his tooth.

Being a Tooth Fairy is one of my GD2's career ambitions. I'll have to tell her how much dedication is required to do the job properly.

I remember the tooth fairy role was the bane of my life when my children were little. They would put the said tooth under the pillow. My job was to retrieve it and leave the precious coin in return. The problem always was, to actually locate the tooth, without waking the sleeping child. My own children were much more sensible with my GC’s. They encouraged the little ones to place the tooth in a saucer by the side of the bed and the tooth fairy put the coin in the saucer when they collected the tooth. Why didn’t Ithink of that?

I was very amused that the dentist presented my OH with his recently extracted tooth in a little 'Tooth Fairy' envelope! I haven't checked to see if it's been swapped for a coin!

I think our GD1 has managed to negotiate £1 per tooth so far. I’m sure by the time sh3 looses back teeth she will have made a case for more! 😉😉😉
