Busy children indeed QwertyI hope they have a lovely week!
My GD's school are allowing them to 'break the rules' this Friday. For every rule they break from the list of 10 they have to bring in 50p. Things such as wear your own top, wear nail varnish, wear crazy socks or tights, bring sweets instead of fruit for snack, stuff like that“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Qwerty - it sounds as though it's not only the twins who will be busy! At least by Saturday they should be ready for a lie in.
Gem - I hope they have a good system for collecting the 50 pences for breaking the rules! It sounds quite complicated.
I'm always in two minds about some of the fund-raising activities schools organise these days. It's good for children to realise there are people who need help and support, and to learn that it's good to give, but for some families it must be a real headache, especially if they have more than one child at the same school and having to shell out twice as much at one time.

I hope they enjoy their week Qwerty & all the others fundraising. I sponsored GS1 on a 3ml walk to raise money for a wheelchair accessible picnic table in their playground.
GS who started school went to his disco last week. Mummy said "he danced the night away". I'm in agreement with you Daisy. DD1 on a very tight budget."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

I agree Daisy, I also think the collection made by parents for a gift to the teacher, children not being involved is embarrassing for some parents and as you say some parents have 2 to pay for. It isn't what you can afford it is a stated amount. Very wrong in my book. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

At DGCs primary school which had lots of family members in different years when something to do with charity collections ie "Children in Need" it became the norm for families to just send in a token amount from the family which covered all the children in all the years, but only if the family could afford to do so as the area was a very poor area in comparison to some areas.
I hope all the little ones enjoy their days of non uniform and dressing up and that they all raise a nice amount for CinN XKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

I have to say, I've lost track of what the GCs are doing this week. I know GD1 had a disco last night, but that is about all. I hadn't tied it in with CiN, so wondered why it was this week.
