My granddaughter will be 9 years old next Monday. How did that happen?? It seems no time since I first found fellow Grandmothers online - my daughter was 7 weeks pregnant with her then!

Tomorrow is a birthday tea at home for family and family friends. Today was her party for school friends.

They're lovely photos, Gem, and the birthday girl looks so grown up. The climbing looks good fun - and I actually wish we'd had things like climbing walls when I was a child - much better than the monkey bars in the school gym! But, as you say, I don't think it would be first choice for our next meet up!

It sounds as though GD is having a wonderful birthday week-end, and still has the sleepover to look forward to on her actual birthday tomorrow.
