.. and we are almost into the long summer holidays!

Both my school aged grandchildren break up for summer tomorrow, until early September.
I don't know if any schools break up later than this.

I will still generally only have the children on my usual days each week, but for all day of course no school pick ups.
There is only one week when I will not have GS1, when they go on holiday. One week I will have him overnight before his regular day with me.
There are 2 weeks when the other GC are on holiday, and another week when DD won't be working so I wont look after them, although may see them.
So, it will be busier the next 6 weeks, but not too bad for me .
I hope none of you are overwhelmed with the amount of grandchildcare they will be doing!

Gem, I don't know about you or anybody else, but the end of terms seems to have arrived at a gallop.

My GD2 leaves her playgroup tomorrow, and I've promised to go and cheer her on at her sports day in the morning, plus be there for the leaving ceremony when the teachers give the children a present and a book of all their activities etc since Day 1. It doesn't seem like 4 years since I went to the same occasion for GD1!

GD1 finishes school at 1.30 tomorrow, but it's not 'my' day and I expect Mummy will want to pick her up anyway.

So then we have 6 weeks of having both girls on Monday and Tuesday (plus Cooper as and when). But this coming Monday OH has a hospital appointment and I have to go with him to drive home, so I've just reminded the girls' dad that I won't be there until around lunch-time. Good start to the holidays, isn't it!

I think GS1 has already broken up, and GS2 tomorrow, but I don't know yet if they will be coming down to stay with us at any point. Both their mum and dad try to take as much time off work as they can, even though I don't think they're going away this year.

We will have GS1 3 days a week but as he's almost 14 he spends more time with his friends only ringing in now and then to let us know where he is and what time he will be back ,
      Much easier for us now
Not holding my breath but im hoping we just might get other two for a day , pigs will fly but im hoping

Well this year is much easier this time , remember the days when I had all 3 over days as many days 😱😱😱and one stopping overnight 2 nights
This year eldest g/d who breaks up tomorrow but actually breaks up today as she goes on holiday tomorrow for 2 weeks so a break there, twins as usual each Tuesday hopefully a week break if the other grandma a comes down, then eldest over 6 dys over 3 weeks and she will go to holiday club also but it’s Β£28 a day ☹️ and the last week we are away for a week πŸ˜€ and only one day when I have all 3 but to be fair eldest does entertain the others

Nanto - how lovely to have visits.

Oma - I'm sure there's a certain young lady who will remember what fun she had with Nana and Grandad, and make her views known!!

Qwerty - thank goodness things are getting easier for you. I find in some ways having all 4 of them is easier than just 2 because they do entertain each other and they all get on well together despite the 10-year age spread. But the boys have reached the age when they really would rather stay at their house with all their gadgets, and a decent internet connection as well as their friends. We shall see!

Clearing out the toy boxes is on my 'to do' list during the holidays. Then I think they'll need restocking!
