Did your grandchildren have any celebrations at school or nursery? There seem to have been a lot of them around the country.
GS2's nursery had a 'wedding'. I saw it on their FB page. I don't think it was his day and it would have gone over his head anyway at 2 years old
GS1's school had a royal wedding picnic on Friday, and wore red , white and blue. He loved it apparently, and I will hear more when I see him on Tuesday. He set up a wedding picnic for his bears on the actual day, but DD said he watched a few minutes of the wedding then got bored I'm sure he will have enjoyed the highlights later though.
When I collected GD from her school on Friday afternoon the whole school was in the garden. We have to pass the garden to get into the playground where we collect them. We were all able to watch the end of the picnic. The sun shone, and a whole school of children dressed in red white and blue was a glorious sight . I always bring a snack for GD for the drive back to mine, but it wasn't needed, as she was full On the way home she told me they had a 'wedding' with 2 of the reception children, who were very cute, according to GD. She said they had Haribo wedding rings and she saw them eating them after the wedding was over
