    you look like my mummy!

GS1 being a pain for his auntie DD2, when she was babysitting the other night is nothing to smile about.
However, at one point during his crossness at her (because his mummy had the audacity to go out) he said to her 'and you're making it worse!' When asked why he replied that she looked like mummy, so was making him miss her more!

He did realise he had overstepped the mark, as he was reluctant to come to our house yesterday, for fear of seeing Auntie K, obviously embarrassed at how he had behaved.

Oh, Gem, as we've said before your GS1 likes his routines and boundaries - even though he tries to cross over them often enough. It's very good that he realised he had overstepped the mark and was embarrassed - awareness is the first step to improvement.

That is a very clever little boy. And yet he’s only five. Sometimes, with very clever children they demonstrate their cleverness which makes all those around them assume their emotional maturity is the same. But if course it’s not. He’s still a little five year old who has yet to learn what is an appropriate comment and what is not. It’s not an easy lesson to learn.

                  But it was funny.

DD2 (auntie) would not have laughed. But she would have found it funny
