Be careful what you bet on!

A couple of weeks ago GD1 found an old Rubik's cube in a cupboard. She asked her dad what you had to do with it, and he explained. He found her a couple of 'how to' videos on You Tube videos, and she quickly mastered doing one side.

She was clearly intrigued by it and kept asking people to time her to do one side. Her dad got her a newer version, a bit smaller for her tiny hands, and a bit less effort to work. Her speeds got better and better. Then she wanted to be able to do all of it, properly.

Her dad bet her £50 she wouldn't be able to do it by Easter.

He just lost £50 to a 7 year old!!!

I bet her dad won't do that again.

We still have an old Rubiks cube from when the kids were little.
Also got a musical one, which gets a bit irritating after a while.

The only good thing is she will save it up for something special.

Qwerty - I'm not sure where dS2 got the smaller one. I don't think it's specifically a child's version but just easier to turn and a bit smaller - probably Amazon, but I'll ask him

WeeGranny - I think DS2 was a bit shocked that he had to pay out on the bet! I'd have loved to have seen his - and GD1's faces

What a clever little girl to learn it so quickly. I had one when they were all the rage. Think I did it once. Hope she gets something else to challenge her Dad.😂
