'I'm so so sad for you Mummy'

This morning DD1 (whose birthday it is) texted me to say GS, aged 5 had come into her room and said he was going to go downstairs to look at her pile of presents. He came back and said ' There IS no pile of presents Mummy. I'm so so sad for you!'
DD explained that adults don't get the amount of presents that children do. He was not impressed.

DD2 will be going over there this morning with their presents, our present, plus the card with money in from my mum, so hopefully GS will be slightly mollified by that!!

We always lay out all the childrens's birthday presents in the living room after they go to bed Plant, so it is a bit like Christmas morning the next day
Clover, I'm sure you're right, especially if there was chance of any sweets in any of the presents!

Gem - I seem to remember he didn't want to be 4 - now he'll be even less keen to get older.

I think it was very sweet of him to be so sad for his Mummy.
