    Roller Boots for Christmas

Both GDs had roller boots as part of their Christmas presents and neither of them can skate yet.

So mum and dad took them out to practise on some nice smooth pavements. GD1's co-ordination isn't great and after watching her wobbling about while still hanging on to her dad, GD2 commented "She's like a new born foal trying to walk". They ended up in fits of laughter as that's exactly how she looked.

We don't know where GD2 has seen a new born foal trying to get to its feet for the first time!

Aww, well she obviously has somehow

I bet both girls will be skating like pros before too long.

Daisy, I have never been able to skate, at all, when? there was ice here I used to love seeing the people "floating" along the dykes and canals, both GD's are very good, most children are here, I sometimes think they are born to it! Your GC will get there and soon be "floating" along.xx

Daisy odd you should mention roller boots ,
I was just saying to B they day before yesterday that they must be back in fashion as we have seen lots of children wobbling around on them .

Two little boys we seen the other day the boots looked too heavy for their skinny little legs , they could just about lift their feet never mind skate

Don't children come out with saying you just don't expect Maybe GD2 has seen a programme about new born foals .

I haven’t seen any children with them for some time. I am sure your GD1 will soon be gliding like a swan Daisy

GD1 is good at most things she does, but her sense of balance isn't great. It took help from a professional cyclist to get her riding a bike, and even her scootering is a bit wobbly. I'd love to see her floating around like a swan though - she'd love it! I think it's also a matter of confidence for her - or rather, lack of it.
