    Planning ahead!

My 8 year old grandson has been close friends with L, a little girl of his age all his life. Their families are friends and they have always got on well.
I recently learned that they have a long term plan to marry!

GS told me one day that he and L believe there should be child marriage. I laughed, (in an affectionate way!) He looked at me and said 'and everyone laughed - just like you did' I apologised but he said 'It's OK' in a long suffering way!

L has a new baby brother who my GS is very keen on.
He was saying yesterday he can't wait to be a parent! He then said that L wants to adopt as she doesn't want the pain of childbirth.
These kids have thought this all through!

I asked if they would like a boy or girl first , or don't mind?
'Oh a girl!' GS replied', 'L and I hoped baby F would be a girl

How lovely Gem. I would love to see into the future to see what happens.
I was walking on Saturday and following two youngsters, I’m guessing they were 7ish, a boy and a girl. We got chatting and I asked if they were best friends. The boy answered yes very enthusiastically and the girl agreed. So sweet.

Gem, how funny, and sweet. That's quite similar to my GD2's plans with her little friend which I posted in March.

Seven year old GD has a little boyfriend. He's a nice lad, quite a character and the youngest of 7 children. A few days ago he asked GD if she thought he was the best boy in their class. GD was non-committal. Anyway today they mapped out their future together.

They are going to get married and have 6 children - 3 of each and all adopted ("obviously", GD says). The young man says they will be brought up as Christians, and GD is ok with this. They would like a modern house, and she definitely wants a large kitchen.

On the career front, GD wants to be a baker and would like a baker's shop. The young man isn't sure whether he wants to be a YouTuber or have a fish and chip shop - probably a fish and chip shop and they could have their shops next door to each other. In fact GD thought they might combine them into a restaurant.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring, bless them.

She had a play date at his house last week-end and they were delighted to discover that their dogs, although very different breeds, behave in the same way with strangers - a bit barky until they have settled down, and just to ignore them! They haven't yet changed their life plans, and GD2 has chosen to have baking lessons during the school holiday!

My GD and close friend also made these decisions when young. Alas, now aged 19 her plans have changed somewhat!

Gem - that's an interesting variety of possible careers. I wonder which one will win.

GS1, really does love babies at the moment!
In the car yesterday we had another discussion, instigated by him, on how he can't wait to be a parent and how cute babies are,
'L is still wanting to adopt though, so not to go the through the pain of giving birth' he said.
Then he told me, 'Anyway, it's not matter of just hoping for a baby to come along unfortunately, it doesn't work like that'. I agreed.
'I know what happens and I don't fancy any of that stuff, but maybe its different when you are grown up, and anyway I would just focus on why we had to do it'
You will feel differently when you are an adult and you love the person I said, and it's private just between the two of you.
'Yes, you would have to make sure it wasn't a day you were expecting a delivery at the door!' said GS.

That boy makes me want to smile SO much!!!
