    Santa to the rescue!

My DS2 was trying to explain to the GDs that there won't be so many presents this Christmas. (Like many, many self-employed people they have really suffered from having their business closed down during lockdown and related restrictions). GD1, aged 10, understood and said not to worry, just having one present would be fine. GD2, aged 6, agreed because, as she explained "it will be ok, because Santa could bring the rest".

      Good old Santa!!

I think with younger children quantity wins over quality on Christmas morning. Santa may have to have a trip to Poundland or the like

The simplistic way to solve this, is to have only the stocking comes from Santa.

Aww Daisy, bless her. So many families are going to find it hard this Christmas.
The little ones don't understand, especially those that believe in Santa.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Plant - that's what we used to do when our boys were little. A stocking at the end of the bed, and everything else under the tree to be opened after breakfast.

I expect Santa doesn’t have so many toys in his sleigh because the elves are socially distancing. Several of them are probably still being furloughed. 🎅🏼

Sunshine - of course! I wonder why daddy didn’t realise that. 🤣🤣🤣
