    The dangers of cutting nails

GD2 was having her finger nails cut. She's not keen on this necessity, and poor mummy's not that keen on doing it - but it has to be done!

So mummy was concentrating on operating the scissors and GD's job was to sit still. But she kept wriggling around and so the scissor operator was getting exasperated, and then cut one nail too short.

It was explained to GD that the success with the rest of her nails depended on her sitting still, or, mummy continued, "I'll have to put something on your head to stop you bobbing up and down."

    "Like what?"

"Ummm, ..... like a pig," said Mummy.

"Or a giraffe?" I think GD found this an interesting concept! So she carried on "... or even an elephant?"

"That would be a bit heavy!" said Mummy.

By now GD's always vivid imagination was running away with her .....

"but that would probably kill me dead. But it doesn't matter, they'd put it down to Covid, anyway."

I do wonder sometimes where she gets her information from, bless her.
