    Creaking!

Four year old grandson realised OH was nowhere to be seen and asked where she had gone to.

'She must be upstairs, I can hear her creaking about', was my reply. Familiar sounds of slight floorboard movement and drawers opening etc from overhead told me where she was.

GS went halfway up the stairs and shouted up 'Auntie S, why are you upstairs creaking?'

So funny!! She does have her pension this year but she's not audibly creaking yet.

Gem - he's such a little sweetheart. I'm quite sure S isn't creaking in the way he suggested, but I suppose all houses have their creaky bits - our has lots of them.

Later full of pent up energy as we hadn't been able to get outside, GS took to climbing on the sofa arm, standing then throwing himself onto the sofa (saying each time 'I'm being careful' to put Grandmas mind at rest)
He was it seems being a Wild Sloth. As his sister pointed out to me, anything less slothlike was hard to imagine

He has been told that if and when we replace that old sofa such games will not be allowed (not when OH is in anyway!)

Love him! I'm sure he'd have heard me creaking about if he'd been here today!
