Lovely smile now she has her pink plaster. I have never heard of casts being able to be cut off at home.
I think they are using a different sort of cast where possible so they don’t have to have you attend the hospital only if necessary.
It’s hard in some places but soft in others. Good job she wanted pink as they only have pink or blue in it.
Nannycuddles - it's a good idea to cut down hospital attendances where possible, and I think they must be confident your little GD's arm will have healed fine in the 3 weeks.

She had the cast cut off by daddy without any problems. Took her a day to decide it was alright to use it. Hospital said no running around or on the trampoline for 4 weeks. Phoenix had other ideas on that one. Thankyou everyone for your comments.
Pleased the plaster is off and the arm is safe and sound. It must feel a bit weird after the weight of the cast. As a result of my GS’s trampoline accident he had plates and screws in his arm so fortunately no heavy plaster, just a bandage. I don’t know how he’ll feel about getting back on the trampoline again. He loved it prior to the accident.
Nannaycuddles - Thank goodness removing the cast went smoothly. I'm sure it will seem a bit strange to her for a day or two, but hopefully no more accidents.
Clover - I've been wondering how your DS is coping - I didn't realise that because of the plates and screws he wouldn't need a cast. I suppose he's got to be careful while it all knits together, plus of course the operation sites having to heal up.
