    Unstoppable!

GD2 is a chatterbox. Even she admits it.

We were driving home from school this afternoon and she was complaining about her nose being so blocked up that the had to breath through her mouth.

Concentrating on a busy road junction I commented that she wouldn't be able to talk much with having to breathe through her mouth.

"No,no, no, Grandma," she said. "I talk first and then breathe."

    Hence the heading - Unstoppable.

She's off school today with what has become a cold. Guess what?

            She's still chattering.

              I love kids being chatterboxes.
You can have some brilliant conversations with them.
If you can get a word in.
              Daisy,i like her thinking.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Nanto - I agree, chatterboxes are great.

Her gem yesterday was she was writing a list of vegetables (no, I don't know why, but she loves learning how to spell!!!!) and was quite put out that Grandad didn't know how to spell cauliflower and suggested she wrote carrots instead. Then she asked me the killer question - are tomatoes vegetables? I thought she was a bit young for the scientific answer ...

... so said 'yes'. I'm just waiting for her Dad (DS2) to say I'm giving her duff information.

Never to young for the correct answer. If she’s bright enough to ask the question, she’s bright enough to learn the answer.

Sunshine - yes, I agree in principle, but thinking of a quote in that article -

"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad," he said.

I settled for "Technically it's a fruit, but we use it like a vegetable". She was happy with that.
