    Be careful what you say!

Yesterday walking home from the park with the grandchildren, I said Oh my God to something GD had said. GS, 6 looked at me and said. 'Don't say that when Nanna (my mum) is around, she LOVES God'. 'Yes I know' I said, 'I shouldn't have said that, some people don't like it and we never want to upset people'. 'Yes', piped up GS, 'you would be better to not say it at all'.
GD, 9 grinned at me and said 'Well that's your telling off for the day!'

You do have to mind your P's and Q's when GS1 is within earshot Gemini.

Gem - that's so sweet, he was obviously paying attention to your conversation with GD, bless him.

                Another gem from GS1.

When I picked him up from school yesterday it was raining. I commented that thunder and lightening were forecast for later (it never arrived) and that I hoped I didn't have to drive home through it.
'Well, if it does never, ever, touch that glass at the front of your car then. You will most probably be killed' he advised. Later at his house, as we watched the rain through the window he said 'Promise me you wont ever touch the glass in the car'. I did promise

He also told me as, soon as he got out of school that his new reading book had a SWEAR WORD in it. This turned out to be.... Idiot

Gem - your GS1 is obviously interested in everything around him, but I wonder where he got the worry about glass from.

Wouldn't it be lovely if all children carried on thinking words like 'idiot' were forbidden swear words.

I know long may it reign Daisy!!
He has told me before that I am safe in a car in a thunderstorm, so I think since then he must have heard somewhere about everywhere except the glass!

He really is a brilliant little chap. So do be careful not to touch glass in a thunderstorm Gemini. I wonder if someone has told him that idiot is a rude word.

I told him idiot is not a swear word, but certainly not a nice word to call anyone.
