    Thank You Pie Man

Yesterday DD2 and family went to choose their Christmas tree.
DD told me that whilst one man sorted out the tree, netting it etc another gave the children a mince pie each.

As they were leaving GS, 2 and a half, called over his shoulder. 'Thank you Pie Man, thank you Tree man!'

Gem, how sweet. He's such a polite little boy. I was thinking the other day how we should keep a note of the wonderful things children say at that stage where the whole world is new to them and they are looking at it with fresh eyes.

I hope both gentlemen heard what he said.

      I hope so too

He is at a hilarious age, we laugh a lot!
He is very interested in facial expressions and what they mean, pointing out happy, sad, angry etc.
He loves smiley faces, which he calls Happy.

I have a wooden Santa which has a rather serious demeanour. I don't think GS is too keen on this Non Happy Santa.
On Friday he was stroking my arm. I said 'Aww, T, are you stroking Grandmas arms?' He then walked over to Serious Santa, on the TV table. He looked at him and said rather sternly 'No Father Christmas, not stroking you, stroking Grandma!' Then came back and stroked my arm again

Lovely, I would wager that the 'tree man ' and 'pie man' had a little chuckle when they heard that
Bring me sunshine in your smile.
