On Friday night we took two of the grandchildren to see some local Christmas lights. It is a small cul de sac, where the majority of the residents have for several years gone to town in decorating their gardens and houses. It is very bright and colourful down there. There are collecting boxes, and lots of money is raised for charity every Christmas.
GS, aged 2 and a half was totally enchanted. He enjoyed it far, more than we expected. So much so he cried bitterly when we had to leave!
At one point he was talking to a baby in her buggy. I said to GS, 'the baby loves the lights just like you, but she can't run around like you. 'Run around!' he shouted with glee, and proceeded to do so. GD and I were most amused. He obviously saw it as a instruction
