    Haircut!

My grandson, just 2 and a half has gorgeous curly hair. We all love it but because it is not the sort of curly hair which grows upward, it curls down more, it means it grows over his eyes eventually!
DD used to cut it but didn't know any method but cutting it short, so it was always a shock going from long to almost skinhead
At the hairdressers he had a more gentle cut a few months ago. GS has forgotten this, so today was like a new experience for him. One he was none to keen on!

DD brought him to us afterwards. He ran in and announced he had had his hair cut. We said it looked very nice.

DD told us that he sat very quietly in the chair, men on either side of him having their hair cut. As his hair was cut he said "Oh mo!" (his version of Oh no, which he says when things are going wrong, in real life or in book or TV programme!) Then "My hair!" , "Help" and "Back to the car"
DD said they were all said fairly quietly as he sat very still.
Poor GS! At least he didn't have the more typical Terrible 2's tantrum!
Once released, he was ecstatic, saying "I did it!" and high fiving the hairdresser!!

Gem - it was a rite of passage for him and he rose to the occasion very well.

That is great, at least he kept still.

Good boy for sitting still! I hated cutting children’s hair...so did every other stylist in our salon....

Grauntie - I should think it could become a blood sport with some children.

How cute with the high fiving and that your little man didn't wriggle,my brother had curly hair and mum used to put off having it cut as he screamed at the barbers, but in those days you didn't have the fabulous chairs that they now have for youngsters did they.

It amused my GS's wife mother of my GGS when I told her. It is lucky you have hairdressing skills Qwerty.

Oldest GS (7+) has blonde straight hair down to his shoulders. He's booked in for a cut 1st wk in Dec. I can't imagine him with short hair now. His younger brother has blonde curly hair. Next GS has poker straight go-everywhere unruly hair. Hates having it cut & was left looking like he'd had a fight with the lawnmower from his last cut. GD has very fine straight hair.

Funny how they're all such individuals, even with just their hair. Gem I saw your GS on Fbk. What a cutie- pie.

Nana the two boys have good hair no bother with the cuts but GD her hair is wild , it's untameable curls .
Getting hair clips and bobbles to stay in more than a hour is virtually impossible ,
