    I Love You Grandma

Grandson 1, who is almost 6 says this to me a lot and it makes me so happy.
Now his 2 year old cousin has learned to say it too, starting with mummy and moving on to me
Yesterday he climbed onto my knee several times, rested his head on my chest and said I Love You Grandma ! I replied each time I love you too, you're Grandma's lovely boy aren't you? Yes I'm Grandma's lovely boy he replied with confidence

Before you all get too misty eyed, when DD arrived with him yesterday I was in the kitchen. OH opened the door, he smiled at her then came running to me shouting Grandma! at the top of his voice and running into my arms to be lifted for a cuddle. His words then were 'Hello Grandma, I love you Grandma, animal biscuits??'

(animal shaped biscuits I must add, not biscuits for animals!!)

I met GS2 (6) after school last week. He was not expecting me. I got the biggest hug ever. Itโ€™s the best feeling. GS1 (9) used to to tell me he loved me at random moments. This has now taken second place to a love for ants. Be prepared Gem. ๐Ÿ˜†

Gem - that's so sweet, and you know it's not the animal biscuits that are the main attraction!

My GS2 greeted me yesterday by standing back to back with me to check that he was taller than me. But I did get a nice big hug as well.

Itโ€™s a wonderful moment to treasure when we hear those special โ€˜I love you โ€˜ words from our grandchildren.
