    A Job for the School

GD2 can write the short version of her first name, but not her Surname. So this morning I thought she might like to have a go. “Oh no, Grandma”, came the instant reply. “I’m going to learn to read and write at school on Monday.”

I don’t want to burst her bubble, but I think she’s in for a shock! 😍

Clover, I think she expects to come home after Day 1 able to read and write! She might nor want to progress to Day 2! 🤨

At least she knows why she is going to school.

So far so good! She hasn't mentioned reading and writing since she started school on Monday!

Qwerty - I'm definitely not an expert - I would never have had the patience to teach 4/5 year olds. I really admire Primary school teachers - I think they have an impossible job.
