GS1's best friend is a little girl, the same age as him. They have been friends since they were tiny, but since they started at different schools, maybe less so, especially since his friend L, gravitated more towards other little girls.
They met up over half term, and L said to GS that she loved him. DD said his face filled with joy, and he said to L in quite an emotional voice that he didn't know she felt that way! Awwww

Oh how sweet GS2 informed us on Saturday he had a girlfriend and she was very pretty

GS2 had a girlfriend before they both started at different infant schools. The romance was put on hold because neither of them would be able to reach the worktops to make their sandwiches!

Gem - that is so sweet!

I remember having a boyfriend when I was your GS1's age! We lived next door to each other and always played together. We were often in each other's houses for tea, and I felt life was never quite the same when we moved away when I was 6. Our lives took very different paths, but thanks to the wonders of social media we are still in touch with each other. When it was my birthday he took great delight in telling me not to put too many candles on my cake!
