    Chickenpox

Yesterday GD2, aged 4, solemnly told me she has got chickenpox on her foot.

Mystified, I asked to see the foot (just the one foot!) and there were two tiny red marks, which I later learned were from stepping on a prickly leaf in the garden, but she is absolutely convinced she's got chickenpox!

I don't know, Plant. I think she must have overheard a conversation about getting chickenpox and her big sister has had it, but she hasn't. She's probably feeling a bit left out, bless yer!!!!!

DD2 has just rung to tell us Gs has shingles. He is 5.!
Daisy please tell your Gd how sorry I am to hear about the chickenpox. At least it’s only one chicken,. The best medicine is ice cream of course, as we know. 😁

Daisy, bless her. Agree she should have ice cream and so should Grauntie's GS.

Pleased it was abit cooler today, for gardening. Grass is cut and so is the hedge.
Everything looks neat and tidy now.

                      Oh bless her

GM I hope GS isn’t in too much discomfort/pain.

When my GD was about 3 we used to play a game involving her having “ chicken pops”

Grauntie - poor little lad - you don't very often hear of youngsters getting shingles. I do hope he's not in a lot of pain with it. Have you had your shingles jab?

Funnily enough, GD2 did get an ice cream lolly after lunch yesterday, so I presume she is well on the road to full recovery! What's more it was her favourite Swedish Glace ice cream 'lolly' - https://www.wallsswedishglace.co.uk/...vanilla-stick/

(These are hugely popular with all our GCs and their special treat when they're here. )

Clover - my imagination is running riot over chicken pops!!

The Swedish glacé ice cream is delicious. Is she dairy free Daisy? Next time it could be worse, it could be a measle 😆.
Our boy is fine thank you. He is just miffed because he can’t go back to school until Monday.

Grauntie - heaven preserve us if GD2 gets a measle - the chickenpoxed foot is bad enough!!!

No, GD2 is just gluten-free, but I starting getting the Swedish glace products for GS1 who is dairy-free, and all 4 GCs think they're wonderful, and it does mean they can all have the same. I've always tried not to highlight GS1's GF- and Diary-free needs, so try to give them all the same.

Glad your little lad is ok - I bet he'll be glad to get back to school though.
