When I picked her up from school the previous Wednesday, she told me she hadn't wanted to do it that day in front of the school (so hadn't!) but would in the church. I kept quiet, but thought that unlikely. However, she did, perfectly“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Grauntie, I would love to have been, but weren't invited. I presume as it is a small village church, maybe with the whole school and parents there was no room for grandparents.
She has a very good memory, so I'm hoping she may be able to recreate it for us when she's here on Wednesday“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Conversation today : Me - I hear your reading went very well! Were you nervous, there was only you, wasnt there? GD - I was nervous! It wasn't only me though, Miss S and The Revend B were there too.
I also asked if she learned it or read it. I read it Grandma, thats why it's called a READING. That's me told!!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I managed to find out more when DD arrived. It was 12 page book about Palm Sunday it seems. Afterward she told DD she had been very nervous, but it was OK, she just had a little bit of trouble working out Disciples and Jerusalem“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I'm sure she will find she's doing lots more reading, reciting etc in public, because she's clearly very good at it. Well done little GD - "Disciples" would trip up anyone reading aloud I should think!"Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "
