My granddaughter, aged 8, who with her dad goes to karate twice weekly, got her red belt yesterday. On her birthday too

I think I said elsewhere - definitely a red letter day for your GD, Gem. Well done to her.

She has been doing karate for less than a year Nana. First she got her orange belt, now the red one. They start with white and work up to black

How many colour belts before she reaches her black one. She's a very talented, gifted little girl.

A lot LOL!
I'm not sure how many Nana, and I think there may be extra ones for children to keep them motivated between the main ones.

I think it's great when children have interests & hobbies etc out of school. Well done T.
