This was going to be a slow week for us with nothing urgent pending...Ha! I think there is no such thing. Monday, cancelled cards for me as OH had an eye appointment and couldn't drive to collect GCs from school. Tues, to DD2s for me to pick up J from school. DD1 needed OH to collect her darlings, feed them etc.as she had a staffing problem. Wednesday He goes off to golf, I go to yard to dig up horse poo. DD1 in contact with police as a child's skull (old) has been found in horses field. She has to be there until they arrive, I collect GCs from school again, I sew with GD and OH is teaching GS to play chess. All fed and watered ready for late collection. Thursday DD1 has huge staffing problem and OH has to go to meeting with DD1 and member of staff. Collect GCs once again, make rock buns with GD and OH manages to fly GS1s new fangled machine into a dense shrub and it takes ages to remove it. All fed and watered once more, and tomorrow is the other Grandparents day (Teacher training day) I would love a lie in but I have a hospital appointment early. Looking forward to quiet weekend. What's the betting someone turns up...

GM - the activites and crises are different, but I have weeks like yours! It's amazing how a week can 'disappear' under on onslaught of family emergencies! How is next week looking?
Qwerty - mmmmmm, twinnies one day every other week??? Plus week-ends, my friend! You're definitely in line for a very big medal. x
We've got both GDs at lunch-time on Saturday for a few hours. Still trying to decide what to do with them.

Graunty, I know I'm going off topic but I've only just realised that your avatar of a cup of coffee has actually got a smiley face in the froth. Cute."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Daisy, next week is looking about half as busy 😬. Hairdresser asked if I was aware it is 12 weeks until C.......s! I have made that appointment now and I have decided that if I pull my finger out now I may be ready with no last minute panic. I hope you are inspired for Saturday.
Nana the first real coffee of the day makes my day.
Gem, He will be setting his alarm for 6am to go and play golf. He won't hear it and I will wake him up by which time I will be wide awake and the cat will be yelling for breakfast. Maybe Sunday.Women are like tea bags; you never know how strong they are until they are put in hot water.

My week was plodding along nicely until OH persuaded me to phone Drs because I've been having headaches. Couldn't get an appointment for at least 2 weeks, nurse rang me back and advised ringing for emergency appointment next morning which I did ( though it wasn't an emergency to my way of thinking!). Anyway saw Dr ( a locum) who was very thorough, and she arranged an emergency appointment at the eye clinic at the hospital, for 6.45p.m. that evening! At least the clinic was quiet and I was seen, not only by the Dr but by the Consultant! They agreed it was migraine and if the medication which the GP would give my didn't work, I'd have to see a neurologist because there could be a problem with my brain(Ha!Ha!). Anyway, locum phoned next morning and wants me to go and see her on Mon afternoon. Hopefully will get some meds and then we wait and see. It's typical isn't it, when you're going away for a few days, something crops up. We're only going North of the Border, so I won't have to struggle with a foreign language!Believe you can and you're halfway there.
