My car has reverse parking sensors. Something I haven't had in previous cars, but now rely on
Apart from that, no gadgets! It is automatic and has air conditioning, which I am glad of on hot days.
OH's has built in satnav, rear camera, heated seats and all manner of things. You need the key in the car with you, but don't use it as such. What I think is the more refinements you have, the more there is to go wrong!
On SILs car you push a little button on the boot and it closes. Now that is a feature I would like! Being under tall I struggle to close boots on big cars. I can manage my little Micra

We have the boot button too , foot under bumper to open then button to close , just as well I cant reach that far up to do it manually
Rear cameras are a god send if your pulling out or in small spaces I think ,
Daisy your right about cars getting wider , I think that's why you never see anyone put cars in their garage , you might get the car in but you wont be able to open the door to get yourself out , parking spaces are far too narrow

They came to get my BMW to mend the bumper and brought the hire car. An enormous Jaguar XE. It is a lovely car but the bonnet is very long. I have to drive to the tube tomorrow and luckily it will be about 7am so should be plenty of parking spaces as even with all round peepy things I don't think I would like to try to get it into a small space. My BMW should be back by Friday which means that the Jag will have done ooooh all of 30 miles if that. I told them I only needed an a to b-er.

Zizi, one of our friends, who lives alone and has a medium sized car was given a huge monstrosity so big she had to ask the company to change it! The one they sent her in replacement which she had to drive for some time until the problem with her own car was fixed, was only slightly smaller. She drove it as little as possible.

Gem when I said to the bloke who delivered it that I really did not need anything that posh or that big he said that most people are utterly delighted to have such a car to drive. I know I shouldn't have but I did remark that most of them are probably men looking to enhance their "natural features" (only I did not use those words) by driving a large and expensive car. I am glad I only need to drive relatively short distances in it. I am such a coward, even a couple of years ago I would not have been phased by the size of it. I had a Bruddy HGV licence for goodness sake!

It is a nice colour, sort of deep bronze, although husband (who in addition to chronic glaucoma is colour blind) came home and said "did they really send you a pink car?" Honest it is not pink. My BMW is a lovely deep blue and the last two cars I had were blue as well but the BMW is the nicest blue. Well anyway when the BMW comes home it will be fully valeted. Inside it is still smelling like new with no rubbish anywhere but the outside has airport dust all over it. I will take a picture tomorrow and you can all see it. It does look impressive, like I own the company!! O I! Where is my huge pay rise then????
