Today I measured out the prescribed amount of a quite expensive powder toilet freshener/ cleaner into the cap as instructed.I then proceeded to sprinkle the remainder of the tub of powder into the loo, while carefully holding the measured dose in my other hand.

Oh dear Clover!!
It reminds me of when (more than once) Instead of pouring away the hot water warming my mug for my morning coffee, I poured away the freshly brewed coffee out of the filter mug!! I now use a one cup cafetiere instead of the filter cup, because of this“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Clover - you're not alone! I really have to try and concentrate when I'm sieving a sauce or similar. I have often kept the lumps and let the smooth sauce disappear down the drain!!

Clover, would love to have seen your face when you realised. As you say,we can blame our age.
Yesterday, i went to the post office for something for mam,and went without my purse.
I never go out without my purse, even when i know i don't need it, but i did yesterday.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

On Tuesday I went to a Housing Forum meeting to give my views on how to make moving easier for residents given that we had just gone through the process,I was invited to a small lunch along with about 20 others. drive to the Centre OH drops me off I go into register lovely man is clueless as to where forum is being held he asks his collegue who informs me it was on Monday I then have to go over the Road and do some shopping to pass the time for hubby to get home so I can ring him to come straight back and pick me up hows that for being away with the fairies.complete waste of time and cost me £15 in Asda.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

I once took my daughter, aged 7, to a birthday party in McDonalds in Leeds, of her school friend had recently moved. To cut a long complicated story short, we should have been at McDonalds in Bradford. I knew the family had moved to Bradford, so why I thought the party was in Leeds (same street name) I don't know! I still feel bad that she missed the party. I was 40 then, so can't even blame my age!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

This thread also reminds me of when youngest DS2 was only about 5/6 I had lost the holiday list from the Independant School he went to until he was 11 (so I couldnt check with the local EA) I convinced myself the date was such and such and duely sent him to school with OH I had also confirmed with another mum it was this date, both boys turned up for school to find that they had another week off so I was really red faced.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous
