    First steps!

    GS2, 14 months, took 3 steps today!
He has been doing a lot of standing over the last couple of weeks but always lowered himself back to the floor.
When DD had come to collect the children, he walked 3 steps towards me, with my encouraging him. His mummy, sister and OH were there as well

Gem - how lovely. You must have all been so pleased. But isn't he growing up fast! It doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was a new born.

Oh lovely news, good you were all there to see him. Hard to keep the news back as you don't want to take that moment away from the parents, do you
Gosh he'll be like lightening in no time. That'll be fun lol

        I know LOL!!
The only good thing is he seems to know what he isn't allowed to touch. Long before GS1 was this age we had to have a fireguard up to stop him touching the things on the hearth, gate at the living room door etc, but GS2 ignores the fireplace having being told No a couple of times. The stairs he cannot resist however

Ha-ha we will both need eyes in the back of our heads now Gems, it is only a short time since GGD took those first few steps and she is now like a whirlwind in desguise she wants to walk everywhere so the walking reins have come out now.So exciting that the family where there to see his first steps he will be off like a pocket rocket from now on.

We are at a big family party later today, so it will be interesting if he repeats it, and does more

Awww that's lovely Gem but trouble ahead
Both our boys had their first steps at ours but we have never told their parents that and never will , we kept quiet and waited till they did it in their own homes and excited parents phoned us to say they were walking , all the pretend shocked voices came out of us hahaha .
Same with their first tooth's we didn't say a word about them and let Mummy and Daddy find them , I think you have too its a mile stone no parent wants anyone else to experience first is it
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Great news Gem I don't know why but I thought he was walking 🚶It's difficult when they walk for you first it happened to all 3 of mine and your bursting to tell them but it came at the right time for you he will hopefully enjoy the party even more now not sure the rest of you can relax though but you can't beat a get together with family happy 40th sil

Qwerty. GD didn't walk until she was 16 months (but was speaking in complete sentences LOL) so we weren't expecting him to be an early walker

It's ok until they decide they want to walk instead of going in the pushchair isn't it. It takes forever to go not very far....

Heard a mother trying to persuade her little girl to sit in the shopping trolley yesterday, DD agreed when her mother said she would have a better view instead of looking at peoples legs.
