    Friday Assembly

We were invited to the school assembly this morning, Rhys was getting a certificate!
It was lovely to be apart of it, as he doesn't get them too often. This one was for "very good handwriting"
He's taken to joined up writing quite well, and seems to be able to read it better too.
Grandad took him to Beavers this week too as they were going round the village noting all the traffic signs.
Grandad was a little sad for him as he seems to sit on the outside of the circle and on the edge of everything, but he says he's ok.
I thought that he must be used to it, as at school he's either with his TA or sat on his special chair instead of on the floor with the rest.
This must be for his safety, but I'm sure he could sit on the floor with the others. He can get up ok, he does at home.
I hope his op changes some things for him, and he can integrate with the others easier.
I'll try and add a picture later, if I can .

How proud you must have been of Rhys a great achievement indeed will you frame it for him and have it on show so he can see it and add to it when he gets others. My youngest DGS has never been blessed with high achievements he has always just grazed along happily but once when he did get a certificate for his art work it encouraged him no end and we ended up with a mini gallery of certificates after a while.
    Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

How lovely GJ, Rhys does so well. I bet he is very proud of his certificate

I can understand how you feel about him being on the sidelines a little

Lets, hope, as you say, that after his op he can be included a bit more.

It's amazing what a little bit of encouragement can do.
At least his school praise him at his level. This spurs him on.

A special moment indeed GJ. Well done that boy.

I watched and commented when you put it on Facebook. You have every right to feel proud of him.

I must admit I had a smile from ear to ear when I saw him in the video. What a brave, happy little lad.
