How fantastic - welcome home Brian. Is he home for Christmas or just a temporary release? Give him a great big Tizzy hug and kiss and one for you too Mrs XXXXX. Cannot tell you how pleased I am. I just read this and shouted "Oh my Goodness Brian is home" now I do moan about the husband not listening to me but clearly he does sometimes because he said "is that the granny husband who had the marrow transplant?" I am sure B would prefer not to be the Granny husband but it was meant kindly. So delighted for you xxxxx

Well provided no infections Zizi he's home for good , even the Dr,s are amazed . They thought at the weekend he wasn't going to survive 3 days later and he's home 😊 .Considering they said he would be in over Xmas he's done remarkably well .
We have to go back on Friday for a Magnesium transfusion then twice weekly for blood checks for the next 3 month . We now need to prevent him getting infections and Graft V host disease that's when the Transplant can take a wobble . So so pleased to have him home 😊

Mimi he was so ill he was bleeding so heavy when peeing it was unbelievable , bug in tummy ,bowel, bladder, mouth so sore it was difficult swallowing, high temperature, swelled to twice his size , had to have Plasma ,Bloods, Platelets, vast amounts of intravenous antibiotics , had every Dr in the place in his room we were very scared , in fact I hardly slept Sunday night I was expecting a phone call to say he had taken a turn for the worse and we had to go back , but the stubborn bugger turned the corner again 😀

Oma - this is unbelievable. He really is your Christmas miracle, isn't he! And all the brilliant staff at the hospital are amazing, too. I bet Martin is telling him it's because his bone marrow was supercharged and extra good.

Please take great care of yourselves, now, no gallivanting and wild parties over Christmas.

Aren't you glad you got a Christmas tree?

So, so happy for you both. xxxx
                            Welcome home, dear Brian
