You all know I have been off work the past couple of weeks and have been spending time doing a sort of mini-Spring Clean (whispered emotion) I came across quite a few items I had not worn for a long time and decided to e-bay them not thinking I would be very successful but hey-ho and to my surprise lots of the stuff have sold and a nice little amount in my account,I have always used ebay to buy items and have sold before with some good results I have even come across some really good bargains last week on auction I won a brand new maxi-dress for the princely sum of £1.25 + £1.95 postage it has arrived and must be the buy of the year as it is beautiful I must have been in the right place at the right time to win it.

Well done, Glamm. The maxi-dress sounds like the bargain of the year.
I've never used e-Bay, but OH uses it all the time. He uses it mainly to trade items (buying and selling) for his hobbies, and quite often finds things he's been unable to find elsewhere. He's quite careful when he's bidding and factors in the cost of postage or going to collect bigger items so he doesn't get carried away in the excitement.

Daisy I use it for buying my lovely Poppy all her collars and leads, they do cute blingy ones (just right for a glamma-dog) and are far cheaper than the pet stores and even the ones I have ordered from China have passed the test and been of good quality,I also factor in the P+P some sellers are very cheeky and try to make a profit on the postage I got caught out on that when I first started ebaying but am wise to it now.Whilst the maxi dress was not a "named name" it is F&F from Tesco it according to DD was over £20.00 last summer so I am pleased with my purchase as it still has tags on so not worn at all.Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

I've often used eBay to buy and sell, had some real, bargains too. I have a very nice faux suede jacket from M & S, think it cost about £5 a few years ago and it still looks good.
DH got a real bargain yesterday. He has a little sack truck which was very useful and had had it for years. It finally gave up last week and he managed to get a brand new one, much stronger and better quality on Gumtree for £20. He says they are about £70 - £80, so is very happy . I use e-bay so often that I am horrified when I see the prices in the shops! Latest purchase is a brand new silk dress for a party this weekend. Seller bought it half price at £90 and I got it for £18. Seems people buy two or three outfits for a special occasion and then sell on the ones they don't wear! Have had a few items that weren't quite what I expected but generally do very well. (Don't tell anyone but I have two new summer dresses on the way as well). Bank holidays are great, if you are not busy, as people put items on without thinking through the end date and there are usually real bargains to be had.xx

Shem - that sounds like a good 'shopping trip'. OH often 'saves' up items he wants to sell until there's a free listing offer and then saves quite a bit on listing fees - especially for low-value items.
Avo - I know what you mean about having to travel into a distant town - I do buy lots of things online, but not eBay.
Glamm - I've also bought some good 'doggy' items - via Amazon mainly - but lots cheaper than in the high street. My best bargain is Sea Jerky treats for Eva. They're really expensive in the shops but buying direct from the manufacturer makes a huge difference - but it will take us a while to get through 2 kg of dried fish skins!!! Eva needs industrial strength harnesses and leads but I've found much more choice and better prices online. Poppy sounds like a very fashionable young lady!
Enfys - I bet your OH was pleased with his new sack truck - they are expensive, so he did well getting such a bargain."Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognise how good things really are. "

I used to use Ebay a lot for selling and buying, i sold all my wedding stuff, kids bridesmaid dresses etc, nearly got all my money back i had paid for them, so was not complaining there... also a coast dress i had paid £115 for, for a wedding, would never wear it again, (too nice and "probably" wouldnt get into it now) got £75 back for it, better than being stuck in your wardrobe,
Got a few things lying around might just go back on Ebay...

Pearl, that reminds me, I must sell the wedding outfit I bought for DD1's wedding. It cost more than I would normally ever consider spending on clothes, and I haven't worn it since , even though I said I would!“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

I love looking through Ebay for bargains, but have noticed how Amazon have caught up with them now. They sell all sorts of things too. I particularly like looking at vintage/antique toys on Ebay."Good friends help you to find important things when you have lost them....your smile, your hope, and your courage."

Gemini if your like me, although a lovely outfit i wouldn't wear it again for another wedding because everyone would have seen it, alright if its a different bunch of friends but sometimes a lot of money to just lie in your wardrobe..
Nana there is a lot of talk lately of bargains on Gumtree although haven't used it myself yet....How does a child spell Love..........T.I.M.E
