Mamma-mia - Is it really 3 years since your moved into your bungalow! Time goes so quickly! I remember you were unsure at first about moving location, although you loved the bungalow, and then how quickly you settled down there.

I suppose we all have a little bit of uncertainty when we're facing major changes in our lives, but I think Glamm is more than ready for this change.

      Sorry, but I am nosey.
Only about 5mins in the car and in the Village where we used to have our family house before we moved to Spain,we are OK with regard to furniture as we downsized all our stuff before we left UK the thought of our own garden and no grumpy downstairs neighbour is a bonus to say the least and I can decorate until my hearts content so watch out Rapid Hardware there may be a Glamma on the loose next Monday afternoon.

No Plant there will only be us but I'm not sure if we have to make the decision there and then !! but we will certainly take everything into consideration and take measurements whilst we are there, the only thing different to the apartment we are in and the bungalow apart from the gardens is that it will not have a small box room which we use at the moment as a dressing room for OH so I have "conseeded" that he will have to share space in the main bedroom I think I can find him a small space for his socks etc

Yes Daisy, these three years have flown by. I can't believe it myself. It was a big decision for me to move here, memories were holding me back. But as everyone told me , memories are in your head and can go with you no matter where, the rest is just bricks and mortar. Life is so much easier in my bungalow, the countryside is beautiful and although I am now in a little village it only takes me abour 20 mins to get to either Colchester or Ipswich towns. So I have the best of both worlds.
Glamm, when I viewed this bungalow they gave me a couple of days to make up my mind. Then I had five weeks to move in , so it wasn't too much of a rush. And although I really did get rid of a lot of furniture etc I still managed to bring too much and even now I still occassionally have a 'de-clutter'. I bought two hoovers with me, and who needs two in a small bungalow?? Madness!!! I treated myself to a new Dyson at Christmas, the other two have now gone; a present from me to me..
So good luck for Monday Glam, let us know your decision and of course details of your 'new home.' xxxx

Hi ladies so sorry to keep you all waiting in suspense but after the viewing I had to go into work unexpectedly as the relief manager had a major problem, got that sorted then DS2 arrived and asked us to go and look at a house he and his wife are trying for and the day just ran away with its self.
We meet the guy from the Housing Association as arranged and he gave us the key to look around and what a let down it was,the area is fantastic just where we needed to be really but the bungalow was only for a single person the bedroom was just a sliding door off the smallest lounge and you could only fit a single bed in,it has obviously been part of the lounge at one point and sectioned off (if that makes sense) the kitchen had new units but that again had at one time been part of a bigger lounge and the bathroom was in a sort of extention to the rear so a real hotch potch to make matters worse the bedroom area had no natural light and to be honest with my building experience background I'm sure it would not meet building regulations the guy said the office will have to re advertise it as a single dwelling when they try to re let it,so I am not surprised it has not been snapped up.I don't know if I felt disappointed or not as I was so surprised at the condition it was in you would have thought they would have spruced it up for viewing but it was in a disgraceful condition really,we are just going to wait and see what the next few months bring and hope something else comes up. Thanks everyone for all your good wishes xxxx p.s new wallpaper on order for here next week !!

Oh Glamm, how disappointing for you after waiting all this time. It doesn't sound very appealing I must admit. Keep your spirits up and soon there will be the perfect home waiting for you. xxx

Glamma, I am disappointed for you, but this is obviously not the home for you.
Fingers crossed the right place comes up very soon x

Sorry to hear the bungalow didn't live up to expectations Glamma. How itcould have been deemed suitable for a couple seems very strange. I do hope something more suitable turns up really soon.

Galmm - that is soooo disappointing. It sounds almost as though they were trying to palm you off with a home that they knew was too small for two people. What a let down. But, trying to look on the positive side, perhaps it means you're further up the list and there will be the perfect place available soon. Don't spend too much on decorating - just in case!

Daisy we have had a chat and decided to wait until on in the next Road or small Village nearby comes available we have waited this long we may as well get what we want, with regard to being further up the list when I went back on line to see where we where placed on this bidding we where no.11 so 10 people before us have refused it wouldn't you think they may have realised that it wasn't suitable for viewing until they updated it some of the management need to get things in order before booking a view for potential viewers then maybe they will get the revenue in faster, this place has been empty since last October so just think of all the rent they have lost its unbelieveable really, good job I am not their building manager
