Qwerty - I was saying to DIL2 today that I no longer carry GD2 anywhere. She walks or we don't go - she's just to heavy for me to carry. DIL2 is suffering with painful knees and she tends to carry GD2 up and down stairs, plus kneeling on the floor to change her. And she's young and fit! We grannies need to take care of ourselves as well as our littlies! Once your little man is steady on his feet, I'm sure he'll want to walk everywhere anyway - and keep up with his sister!

I remember that with my GS, Qwerty. He was always big for his age and until he could walk I suffered terrible backache all the following day after looking after him. Once he could walk upstarts and I only had to lift him into the cot, things improved a lot!

We don't normally have them on a Monday but DIL had to go to an all day meeting so we had to take them to Minnie Maestros which she usually does, it cripples us we sit on a wooden floor singing and rattling various instruments, sometimes there are actions to go with the music like lifting them up as if to jump have you tried sitting on a floor and lifting an 18 mth old up in the the air, we had to help each other up at the end feeling worse for it today in the old thigh and knee area
