    Going to the scan

A while ago DD2 mentioned me going to the 20 week scan with them. Yesterday she texted to remind me of the date (I already had it in my diary!) and to invite me. I am so happy The only scan I have been to was with DD1 in late pregnancy. That scan was for her liver etc, as they thought she had a pregnancy complication, which in fact she didn't. I saw little of baby, more of DDs organs!

I am so excited, especially as my GD will be there too, and we will find out if she is having a brother or a sister

Ooooo exciting Gemini. I was thrilled when my now ex DIL asked me to go with her, for her 20 week scan. It was lovely to see what I had only seen on television and in magazines.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Hopefully my friend, a senior sonographer at the hospital, will be doing the scan, which will make it even more exciting I told her the date and time as soon as DD got the appointment, and she will make sure that isn't her day off. Sometimes she is called away to do emergency scanning (non pregnancy kind) so we can't be 100% sure it will be her, but fingers crossed!

Its a wonderful experience youngest DD invited me to see T's scan at 20 weeks. When I found out it was pink one number 4 I was thrilled to bits.

That's lovely Gem. I wish I'd had the opportunity to see my GC "live" before they were born.

I went to DD 20 weeks scan as they wanted to have Kieran there, so they asked me if I like to go along so I could bring him out if he played up. He was as good as gold. It was the first baby scan I had ever been to. 😀

                              I'm a terrible grandma, I feel awful!
I was wrong about GD coming to the scan, she can't have time off school Ridiculous to my mind, I have worked in primary school and seen how much time is wasted, my GD is already 2 years ahead of the rest of her class in reading, and this will be a scientific trip! Rules are rules though.
The reason I feel so bad is I have talked to GD about us going to the scan, because for some reason I thougut she was going. She has taken it well though, and DD promises to meet her from school with the news.
