Picked Plant up, saw on BBC TV news early this morning that there was a problem on M40 (Plant's pick up motorway) but as that was 6am decided it would probably be clear by the time we got there. Worried a bit on M25 when signs were still saying there was a problem. Discussed with Plant whether we should do an alternative route but both decided it would be too long. WRONG! One hour forty minutes not out of first gear. Was late getting to Brum and in addition couldn't find ge flipping car park, well we went past it a couple of times but didn't see it but finally found it and parked.
I am going to have a half hour bit of shut eye so I can be awake for dinner downstairs later, Cadbury World tomorrow. Nightie night temporarily xxxxIf you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together

Hi Oma!!!
Just having a quiet cuppa and online time in my room before getting ready for dinner. In the hotel tonight, so it's just a matter of going downstairs. My room smells of cooking! No idea why as it is on the 5th floor“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Have a brilliant time. Sorry I can't be with you, but as you know I'm committed to granny duty. In addition to that DS and family are moving house tomorrow. DGS 1 had a migraine last night (probably due to lack of sleep and excitement) so we had both boys all day and took them to our closest Royal Park. We collected conkers, fed the ducks and geese, and played on the excellent play park. We had a civilised lunch in the park café and enjoyed two bus rides. So much more worthwhile than sitting in a classroom on a glorious autumn day and doing phonics!
I think we shall be on call over the weekend too. I've made two large casseroles, a salade Nicoise for tonight for them, and now we're breaking our rule of not drinking in the week and indulging in a glass of Pinot Grigio.

Oma I had marshmallows too, had as much as I could but a tad too sweet for me. We went on the children's ride and the 4d one, some of us us did the jumping thingie too. Daisy and I grew a cocoa tree as well. None of us appeared capable of playing any of the games at the end of the 4D thingie, this, I suspect, is because we didn't have a four year old with us to show us how to play the games properly. If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
