Thanks all, it's a bit special as she is shy and not comfortable with people she doesn't know. This has improved greatly. Her mother has ridden since she was 5 and hoped the children would follow suit. It looks like she may have got her wish. Oh, that lovely pong of wet stables gear on the rads. Laughing up my sleeve now.😄😄😄

Lovely when they find the right niche! My stepsister was horse mad and was always told it must be a hobby and not a career. She ignored this and has owned/worked with horses all her life. Only time she had a problem was when she was clowning and thought she could put both feet on the ground either side of a Shetland pony. It bolted and she broke her leg.
As Shemadee say, it's lovely when a child finds something that they enjoy, are good at and builds their confidence. Win, win, win. I'm sure she will also make lots of friends with a similar passion.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
J got clear round jumping, 3rd in gymkhana, most improved rider, 1st in handy pony and best dressed all week! This is the best news ever. Such a confidence booster. Meanwhile her younger brother and I had a wonderful day today crafting and singing. He starts and I do the doowaps.😄
